Louis Rhead illustrations and letters, 1896-1913.

The collection includes four letters, three to Jenny Young Chandler, and one to Mr. Willing, about his illustrations; twenty-eight page proofs of an edition of Grimm's Fairy tales illustrated by Rhead; thirty-eight pen-and-ink drawings for Grimm's Fairy tales, twelve of which have been matted in four groups of three; a watercolor study for a poster design to advertise the Baltimore sun newspaper; and a copy of one of Rhead's illustrations for Gulliver's travels, along with three newspaper clippings about his work.
